I give you... The Anti-Tarp!
This is my second attempt at a tarp-themed sculpture. We tend to think of tarps as objects which cover other objects, but here we see the tarp itself being covered by another object, a large pile of dirt. This reversal of roles defies convention and allows the viewer to look at tarps in a new light. The dirt represents the current state of humanity and the tarp represents the ocean. The truck in the background represents my dad's truck. Enjoy! |
